Use a good old stick welder and be sure to melt everything good and proper.
I have blown many cv's, snapped a few axles, and latest attempt was blown hub and cv. Diff still holding fine.
Need a hand, Bring beer to my house, Diff optional

thats the first one that dad has welded and failed... the last one that failed had bearings that were stuffed to the max and the welds didnt fail the axels stripped out the spline in the spider gears

that looks great but not able to be done on a sierra diff. they have a full enclosed carrier. to access the gears you need to remove crownwheel and hat
