Is it my wonky eyes or is that back door 'centre line' sloping downward slightly at the rear...?

To all those guys offering input thanks for the comments.
To the clowns asking stupid questions about door handles and the likes you do realise that the door is held in place with packing tape and blue tack ?? I don't have enough skill to make the alignment correct is mock up stage, luckily I think I can fumble my way though the welding stuff.
Andrew, yes it is from you old 40
see I said I would use the body
There is a build thread over on 4wd Monthly -

I'm glad you can weld because you suck at answering questions politely...
How should I know what is holding the door on? You are mocking it up fella, not me.
Maybe don't ask for input if you can't handle a simple question next time.

That looks way cool like that. Kind of like the old baker's vans or no window panel vans. Window would be cool as long as it's a one piece and no divider like the original pics.

A bit more space at the front of the rear wheel arch?
Incidentally I am pretty sure I've seen cars where part of the rear flare is attached to the door instead of the body, gives a better opening that way.

Looks cool, def needs a solid peice glass on the rear.

I like the no rear glass - looks a bit FJ cruiser (the Yankee prado based one). Chimps door is cool too - having the flare on the door might help to hide any cutting/welding/bogging sins

I think it would be a better result to move the rear axle backwards a couple of inches rather than encroaching on the cabin space by making the wheel tub larger towards the front of the vehicle

Lol looks amazingly similar to a Jk wrangler unlimited.

Tidy. Good length. Nothing wrong with a thin rear door. Looks just like my Crewman ;-)

I wouldnt bother with another door, ALL that extra work, and how many times will you ever use it. If anything just fill that section in. Lookup BJ46 it was a genuine MWB example produced by Toyota
I'll try find a pic.

FJ55 models discontinued circa 1979, next 4 door landcruiser was the 60 series circa 1980.
Yeah, no cease of production in the wagons

There was also a FJ45LV wagon (not many in aus though, but definitely better looking than a 55)

Nah forget the rear door. Do it like the old TJ Unlimited's which were released in the US but sadly not in australia:
bit of a lift and bigger tyres and it's the perfect wheelbase.
and i wanna know what the yellow thing in the back left of the 40 photo is
cheers
