personally i would not say its a design fault, the new quad rings are much more forgiving towards 'fitter stuff ups' i'd say. i'm yet to have issues with all the old style o-rings, and new quad rings i've fitted over the years. and i see dansurf is yet to reply about what he found.Jacked wrote:its pretty hard to install the seals the "wrong" way. the new type design lockers they have changed the shape of the seals because there is obviously a design fault there. you could put the piston seal in the wrong way

I pulled apart many systems to find orings rolled, or pinched when first installed. If the locker is installed properly these things dont happen.
This really isn't that big an issue, in the real world, not too many people have these problems. You do hear the people bitch when it doesn't work, but how many aurlockers are out there, have been fitted for over a decade (As in the lockers in my 60) that have never had a problem.
