Can i be the sole distributor, of these revolutionary new arms? (gotta get in quick before snake racing snaps them up).

Also how did you get them so strong, these must be 10-20 times stronger than factory nissan ones?
Your proposal for sole distributorship of BOR products will be considered. Further, more promising consideration will made if a pair of superior superflex arms is made available for Fluffy :D

It's amazing what you can acheive when you breath landrovers and your blood sweat and tears is bamboo!

The strength in both compression and tension of bamboo is phenominal, its resistance to cracking under extreme flex is also second to none.

We have done some natural testing of shock loads exerting maximum flex from bamboo in the past few weeks. We have even left a test bed of two large bamboo shoots that are currently suspending approx 600kgs of tree stump that was initially dropped from over 10meters onto the shoots. It's been over ten days now and I am proud to say that the bamboo while slightly bent, has no cracking or a further bending under this load, hence it has passed the test... SIMPLY AMAZING!

i heard if you lace it with paper bark grimace, you will end up with more strength than titanium, and more flex than barnseys mum :armsup:

I am still really keen on doing a new setup for the rad arms, if grimace or anyone else is keen to help, it would be much appreciated. I would need to climb under a rig and do a heap of measurements for a couple of hours if possible and then maybe a few ramp and angle tests. Brisbane northside.

Thanks
Greg

what are you thinking Greg? replacement arms that fit stock mounts but allow more flex?

cheers,
Serg

That is correct, The superflex arms are already available for the Nissan and Toyota platforms. A quick search will give you a good example, this is the toyota thread - http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic ... =superflex" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

im on dial up so i didnt look. they are the ones with an extra bush one side? (or is it larger bush?)

the issuse with LR is only the different types. narrow V wide and normal V disco 2.........but im sure the market for disco 2 isnt that big....

Im guessing go with the narrow type and just make some big washers to account for the 5 or so mm difference in width......

hang on????? arnt the pins ends different as well??? dia through the metal bush at chassis???

Yep your correct, I think I have an old set of arms to reference the differences.
As for the pin mount to the chassis, I beleive upgrading to the later style bushes should be sufficient. But again I am not 100% sure, been awile since I have had to remember what goes where!
