Yep, but the fact is that you have two 12 volt 6HP motors being fed 24 volts. That sort of power from the motors can make sort work of a rope if it isn't in good condition, no matter which gearing you choose.
thats the point i was trying to get out, trying to get the right ratio without breaking too much rope
