Shane,

Have you thought about going down the triple bypass route? Your RR shocks are fairly well priced with other australian suppliers, would love to give all my business to you!

cheers

This will be a good guide but these shocks are specifically manufactured for the Australian market (Patrol) so the lengths are different. As I said, a very good guide though.

I personaly feel that adjustable shocks have one more thing that can go wrong with them, so I avoid them.
Have you ever driven around on Fox shocks. I am thinking you just don't know what you are missing.
no I havent driven around on fox, but ive hit one (4 leg type)
The XGS GOLD are a bit more budget priced than your foxes.
$199 per shock & target the more touring style rig but at competition quality,my truck was what you could only say was a very budget built rig. Im just talking from personal experiance, where Ive been up against alot of other major brands Fox included against rigs that far out budget mine,& should have out performed mine as far as a $$ value goes.
YES the XGS may not be as good as a 15stage fox but at 1/2 the $$$ there good value & exceptional when you look at how they were treated in my comp rig, & the positions over a 2 year period.
Shane where have your fox's positioned you & in what major events.
& yes I will be happy to test & give you my oppinion on these shocks when your ready to supply a set @ $000

One thing I have learned this year in the comp I went in, it has a lot to do with the drivers ability how well you go. Don't get a big head now.

These other ones that are coming out that are cheaper then fox but with the same quality. These are the ones I will be pushing.

Because of your racing pedagree and because you were a team mate in the Logan Challenge I will lend a set to you. But it comes with a warning. You will be ruined for life when it comes to shocks.

What extended length do you require?

hay Shane,
That would be GR8, I would enjoy the shock lesson on our next teams event, & it would be good to have an exceptional extreme shock that I could push in our store as well.

cheers piggy

And I will have to try these XGS Gold shocks out also if they are as good as you say. Our customers all have different budgets and I think these shocks would have their place.

mitch, these are the ones john got, but he got them from brent at wizard, they are 2.0 but wizard also do a kit in 2.5 for 6" lift i believe it is.

I imported 4 fox 2.0s valved how i wanted arrived at my door charged and everything for $1100 i then made myself some pin to eyes convertors for the front and i love the result. i run a 3" lift in my cruiser and have 8.5s in the front and 10s in the rear. have plenty of travel and can abuse it offroad at speed and it holds awsome. if i upgrade the shocks in a while ill be going triple bypass front and rear just to see if it is that much better.

Who did you buy yours from? One company in the US claimed they couldnt send them to me charged? If they charged them (triple bypass), they all had to be in individual boxes and could only be sent to international airport at huge $$$$$$. Was that their claim to try and get out of actually posting them?

cheers

EDIT: found the email from downsouthmotorsports...

Good morning,

The Bypass Shocks would be $****.00 a pair in the Fox 2.5" with Remote Reservoir and "3" Tubes and the Fox 2.5" Smooth Body Shocks with remote Reservoir would be $***.00 a pair and the only thing we would have to figure out is the shipping....

Here is why.....I can ship them from here to the closest commercial Airport to you and have you pick them up there and they would only be "2" boxes...
But I know that you have a high Customs fee and Airports fees, but the shipping would be almost half of what it would be shipping all "4" shocks through the Post Office....

Or we can ship the shocks through the post office, but do to the length of the 14" Travel shocks we would have to ship them uncharged with Nitrogen....
and we would have to ship "1" shock per box on the bypass Shocks because of the weight....

Let me know the name of the closest commercial Airport to you and I can get you a quote with the shipping that way and through the post office.....

Thank you,
Sonny

i only gotremote res 2.0 by 8.5, 10 and 12 when i got mine and they all came in the one box fully charged. even in a 2.5 remote res i would think they need to come in pairs maximum due to size, length and weight. add bypass and the box is more than double that of a 2.0 remote res shock. plus, with companies like virgin doing $800 return flights it would be around the same price to go and pick them up yourself now.

my shipping cost $250 ish for the first 4 i bought and i had them within 7 days of ordering and they were revalved for me. the second pair i got took 5 days to arrive.

Sonny is great to deal with and he will give you a better price if you talk to him about it.
