hello Have you thought about FABTECH shocks I have them on my GQ and i love them

they have the same internals as FOX shocks and they are about the same price. You will be able to set them up to your car and fine tune them, Just an IDEA cheers Rick.

I must admit, that after having Rancho adjustables on the Mav' (old ones with only 5 stage adjustment) I really liked the adjustable bit.

That said, I only ever used two settings: '5' for on road and '1' for offroad.

I was looking at TD's, but not now. Boss from 4H (with LocTite addition of course) might be the next best stop.

im actually just waiting for my superior rr shocks to arrive for the rear of the gq as we speak. on paper they seem the goods and like others have said are adjustable. so hopefully they are the goods.
and if 1madengineer has had anything to do with them they should be alright.
for the record im replacing a set of ranchos(bent along with a set of lower control arms) and found the ranchos alright but not brilliant and to big a tube for the gq. hit in a few different spots.
also price for the src shocks is pretty much on par with any 2.0 fox shock price i got of anybody. and the fox shocks arnt adjustable.

If it popped out under extension in normal use then would that not suggest that the damage could have been caused by them topping out - and ripping them selves apart? because they were too short for your vehicles suspension set up?

Please note im not saying TD's dont have problems in any way shape or form. just wondering if there are contributing factors.

I would think most 4x4's including from factory, use the shock as the limit for down travel.

In your's, what limits downtravel if not the full extension of the shock?
