i broke 1 cv ages ago (looked ugly anyway) and while pulling my 15 ton of truck and bobcat out of my paddock after rain i done the new cv and crownwheel, dont know how i bent the housing (right next to the knuckle) i know how much curry you give yours. Strange hey. i might of not set the centre up properly when i put the detroit in. Usually the older hj diffs are stonger than the hzj ones.
oh yeah and it was not your everyday recovery, took 40 mins of curry and abuse before i blew the cv and then about 5 pulls later i done the crownwheel.

hey mate nice build, my mate cameron has a hj75 with a 12ht and 79 series bonnet from frp, his is beige though, that would be an interesting drag hey? he lives in morayfield, he also fitted the vacuum boosted clutch master and everything, and kept the vaccuum selected transfer so its push button he would loooove to see your truck up close, he would cream his pants

chris12ht75 wrote:ok after breaking 8 teeth off my front crown wheel, busting 2 cv's and bending the housing i have decided to do something with my front diff. I bought another complete hj75 diff and have stripped it out and right now the housing is sitting at superior engineering getting all the fruit done to it. Should be staunch when i get it back. Also got some longfields so there is my cv problem fixed and i'm doing away with the detroit and going to an air locker. Superior is also hooking me up with there heavy duty swivel hub kit .Should be almost bulletproof i reckon
i'll post some pics of it when i get the housing back
Thats along the lines of what my front setup is now, has given me now trouble in both cars I have run it in.

yeah if i didn't have the detroit i would not have broken them i don't think as i would of had them unlucked instead of all 4 wheels loading right up at the end of the snatch. Is your's a arb or tjm locker Hulsty?

Hi mate, wicked looking truck and i can agree on the power of the 12ht ive done the same type of build up to my 75series with a 12ht conversion, but im a P plater so its decked out with pioneer sound system, 2x 12inch subs, 4 inch lift kit 33's and front mount intercooler, boost controller, catch can, pyro many extras but the last thing ive done is the 12ht conversion and one issues im having it the fuel return line off the fuel pump. i did have it plumbed back into the fuel intake line but i want to finish it all up properly not just for temperary, so where did you run the return line on the 12ht? Where abouts on the fuel tank? You had the 3f petrol by the looks in your photos, is the tank the same an the diesel trucks? i didnt want to drop my tank back out just to weld some tips on so i can put a hose back to the fuel tank, did you just T piece one of the breather lines or what??
Cheers mate any info will help.
Dayne. :)

Hi There,

The guy who had this truck has sold it and no longer comes on the forum to the best of my knowledge.

Thanks,

Dan
