No such rule that i know of in N.S.W the height of the ball can be any height it wants to be as long as your happy towin with your trailer nose in the air or nose to the ground :D :D :D :D

I built my motor bike trailer sprung over and it sits perfectly.

It's got 31's on it and 12 inch guards so tows really good. It's level with my truck, although when my old man tows it behind his stock GU it sits nose down.

I guess it's just a matter of setting up the tow hitch to how you want it.
I know with some Hayman Reece tongues that you can take off the ball and flip it over to either raise or lower it.

On another note, my boat trailer had to be sprung over with my new truck but still nearly drags the arse on the raod. I guess the only way to fix this is to get higher springs and larger tyres.

It's not impossible or expensive to set up, just has to be done to suit the individual needs of the tow rig.

Cheers

Anthony

I picked up a Hayman Reese adjustable neck for $130 new and towed a 12"x6"x7" enclosed trailer loaded with furniture from Sydney to Queensland. I have a 7" lift with 33's and the trailer sat surprisingly flat!
