That does, yes. Watching those vids, and reading the comments posted with them, it doesn't look like it's being performed the way I was told it's supposed to be done.
The engineer who tested mine explained that it's all about de-stabilising the vehicle, to discover how the modified suspension handles on the limit - is it progressive and controllable (pass), or does it do something unpredictable, and "bite" (fail)? There isn't a "speed" to reach as such; it's about going faster and faster until the limit is reached, and judging how the vehicle performs at that limit.
When mine was done, the (CAMS licensed) engineer was driving, and an employee from the race track was an independent observer. After the last run, the engineer asked the observer if he was happy, or should he go around again - either it was a well rehearsed act, or the observer was there for a real reason.
