Adding to that, a bigger volume+better flowing exh. manifold could make for a drop in airspeed correct? which in turn could slow down the turbo meaning it can't force the air into the intake as strongly? or is this at the extreme end of things?

Or am I looking at this cross eyed with baby brain?

out of curiosity, why didnt you run the blower drive shaft further forward and have the V groove belt running directly on the blower pulley?
