Well you could just turn the ignition off.

It's just that it would have been slightly more sensible to WAIT UNTIL YOU FUCKING HAD BRAKES, that's all.

I wish my neighbours would do stuff like this.

thats the style of u bolts that 60 series use on the front.

i have one on my drivers side to fit over the diff centre.

they have a cup bit where the u bolts sit.

id be scared of dragging that over a rock and having it pop off and losing the diff from under me, but thats just me

and the Engineer who signed off on that would be.....???

Yeah, 60 series use this to hold the U-bolts on the TOP of the diff, mounted 90 degres to this set up. This is plain scary.

A plan devised after a few brown lemonades ?? Let's see how she goes without brakes :) - hope the damage isn't much more than pride !

Get over it . . This is how it comes standard! The u-bolts are secure and would not budge from that position.

at least it gave you a good opportunity to weld in the mounts for his anti-wrap bar eh?

I share your pain, i thought i must have been the only person in the world to flop off a ramp. Guess not, good to hear no one was hurt.

Heres a pic for all your enjoyment. Rolled whilst ramping on Suburban 4x4's driveway

Oh yeah, in front of about 40 people

Damage: bent fender, dented door, cracked radiator and one ego :D

rightio ladies, settle down. The story goes a little something like this.

We needed to decide how long the brake line would be for the front, so the plan was to stall the car at the top of the ramp (handbrake not working cause it wasn't long enough after SOA.) But the problem was that it was in low range and when i took my foot of the clutch it took off up the ramp and well, you know the rest.

BTW, i now know that i should have just turned the key off! :finger:

Damage was minimal with only scratches and dents ;)

So give me as much crap as you want, i dont care any more :finger:

Yes but did you have locker(s) engaged ??? A unlocked 4x4 should be stable enough that it will lift a wheel on each axle and stop moving long before it will flop. If you were unlocked then seems like you need to flatten out the springs and get some extra width.

no lockers mate, just pure supitidy :microwave:

your U-bolt would snap before that mount even looks like it might wanna move.

the groove is around 10mm deep. and it has a big lip on it. you would need serious carnage for that to pop off. your leaves would probably snap before that does.
