I have no issues with locktup they have been great with trying to sort this out but the final decision on if I'm covered with warranty or not rests with trail gear.

just to touch on things, a gq centre is no stronger than a 60 series centre. also i am 99% sure that 60 series/ hilux axles will not slip into it. so moral of the story is use a 60 centre and cv's. longs would be very strong and from what i have heard, by far the easiest to get a replacement as the no questions asked warranty that locktup offer needs to be changed to many questions asked and many excuses provided. thats just what i hear.

the saying stands, nobody is as strong as bobby long

dana 60's will cure your problems. as in standard trim they are surposedly aroung the strength of the best you can build a hilux/ 60 series diff.

altering the driving style will help too, something i need to take on board imho

The side gears in a gq locker can be changed too suit 60s or 80s axles Byron.

I'd think in a front application a GQ hi-pinion would be stronger than a 60s with a soild pinion spacer but guys just me.

You are correct Benny Boy. I think there is some machining maybe as well. Buddy is the man to speak too. I would love to do this conversion as it will keep my high pinion and a slightly bigger diff and longfields as well.

Too bad u didnt talk to Jason :)

I know what your saying though mogs are good for the $$$

If it wasnt for the fact that my top seed would go from 200kmph to 20 by fitting mogs i would have done it too.

Dana 60/70 front and smooth 70 rear will have to do :D

Even better Zoltan is just use D60 housings fr & rear & fit D70 centres. D70 strength (33% greater) with D60 clearance with still the advantage of trimming the 60 housing even more, win win

Jana 76 is what I am doing with my D60's !!!

Here is the link from Pirate & where I got the info from. It also has a D60 specific link at the bottom of the first post.
