We already do that Cam. Our Verification team is on top of things.Grizzly Bear wrote:Hey Senior,
Regarding entry - are we going to have a look at vehicles that are obviously NOT registerable vehicles? Are we able to confirm engine numbers with rego or something of the sort ??? to prevent cheating. The beauty of Willowglen is that its road registered cars (not farm registered or anything like that).
I would just like to keep the competition on an even playing field without being either too soft or too like Trials or Toperi. They are good comps in their own right too.
Cheers Cam
Where will I be today, could be by a river a lake but not at WORK

Yep everyone has to show up with there current and up to date engineers certificate and leave their 37's and bead lock rims at home.
Your right to compete Cam but you may be by yourself.
Those who choose to drive in the mud do so because they can't drive the rocks.

Re: Willowglen 2011(NSW)
Guys you seem a bit touchy, must be the pressure getting to you.
Let me clear a few things up
The class rules have not changed in years and then it was only going from 36 tyres to 37.5 and calling it Challenge Class
We do match rego docs with the chassis no and the insurance cert supplied, always have, always will. NO MATCH. NO DRIVE
We have never required Engineering certificates at Willowglen
We know that 37" tyres are not usually allowed on the road, so we don't ask you to drive on the road.
The days of turning up and driving in a comp and then driving back on the highway has for most thankfully changed. Sure some will, but I prefer not too as I have no idea of what may fail on the drive home. Lets be honest the 40 seems to get its fair share of breakages.
I am looking forward to another great comp, We have a full compliment of Teams and I wish all of you good luck over the weekend.
ps; If anyone should see a tractor lining up give me a holler
Tony

1 x truck running to the outlaw class limits
2 x trucks running 35' tyres and all road legal bolt on bits
1 x truck built in 3 weeks, running 33 BFG's and transfer gears...
One truck on 35's got stage award on the Spider
We got 4th team of the event and had a ball...
By the looks of your truck details with 35's, BL and Suspension lift etc... no reason why you couldn't compete...
Re: Willowglen 2011(NSW)

The only comp Ive done is Son Of Trials.
But youve given me something to think about mate.

Tony,
I am having trouble getting my CCDA membership sorted, I sent the application away nearly two months ago, have sent several emails and I not received a reply or any info in reply as yet. Am I going to be able to join on the day at Willowglen so I can compete?
Thanks
Peter

Re: Willowglen 2011(NSW)
Membership applications are being processed as we speak. There are some 50 or more applications to be processed including the processing of the associated Credit Cards. Once the credit cards have been processed emails confirming membership will be sent to those that have emailed me.
As requested by the event organisors a single email from the team manager to registrar@ccda4wd.com.au with a list of the names for those that are competing is prefered over each individual requesting the same information.
Please do not ring me as I do not have my phone on during business hours and I don't carry a membership list to confirm your membership status with me.

You could process them more often and email receipts to EVERYONE that pays like every other organisation in the world??
Re: Willowglen 2011(NSW)
x2, it is rather frustrating paying your money and not getting any reply for months. And even then it takes us contacting you to get a reply.
