What are the spec differences in the Pajs'? Escape vs GLX etc?
Expert?
From memory, the "standard" trim levels for NL (last of the solid rear) was GL, GLX, GLS & Exceed.
GL was bare bones agricultural / government model (not even sure they were still around for NL).
GLX was the entry "family" model - smaller wheels & tyres, which gave narrower track, so didn't need flares.
GLS was the up-market version, with 16" rims / 31" tyres, wider stance & flared guards, most of the typical "luxury" accessories - power windows & mirrors, sunroof (I think), not sure what else.
Exceed (I think it was there in the NL) was the "luxury" version, with all the options (that Mitsubishi offered, anyway).
The Escape was a marketing exercise, essentially a GLX with a bunch of the options ticked for a more realistic price. From memory, 29" tyres on 15" rims. The 16" alloys from GLS/Exceed will bolt on and take 32" tyres, but you may need some flares to stay legal.
If you want to know more, the Tech Info thread in Mitsubishi may help a little. Beyond that, head over to
the Pajero Club Forum. The
FAQ section is pretty good, and
this thread may also be handy.
