Yeah ben this has all been worked out we need to run a body to race over here and that will put us in the extrem 4x4 class but the body cant be shorter or skinnier than the production 4x4 its meant to represent this is the only class we can run our ultra4 cars in over here no other class will alow 4WD or custom tube buggy . So basicly we need to find a fibreglass vitara zook body that is stanard width we are talking to Randy ( Jimmys 4x4 ) bout it so if you know of anything over there let me know.
Nick
Is there a rule that says the body has to mounted to the main tubes? Most TT and many C-1 have Inner tubes and panels with the outer body being mounted to temp or sacraficial small tubes. No reason you could not do that and use a glass Chevy, Ford or Toyota body like that>

How in the hell do you think this thing will ever work with the extractors mounted up side down is it to keep heat away from the sump. Will you be competing in the next tuff truck.
Why are the rear shocks mounted on the lower arms won't the arms bend and if you have 16'' shocks mounted like that will you have 32'' of travel this thing will be good on the ramp.
Are you going to sheet it with clear lexan so you can see the rocks.
My brothes mates sisters husbans wifes uncles sons girl friends brother has one just like it but his has bigger tyres.
Nice truck mate.

I would bet on axle mount 14" co and BP up front and 14"cos and 16" bypass in the rear mounted on the link. coil carrier in front and the Bypass 25% up the link from the axle. but thats just me

Rustys, I’ll wrap the pipes in pizza box’s and yes I’ll ask Peter about TT. Yeah it will ramp 3 times it wheel base. I’m thinking of using the left over pizza boxes from the exhaust wrap for body panels should be lighter than lexan.
Your brothers mates sisters husbands wife uncles sons girlfriends bother’s one is way different because his is rear engine with portals. I’m not running portals.

Thanks for the reply mate just watch out as the oil from the pizza's left over in the box could be very flamable.
My brothers mates sisters husbands wifes uncles sons girlfreinds brother's ultra 4 car runs a portal diff in the rear is so when he needs to go fast he can Hydraulically rotate the diff which makes his wheel base 4'' longer and lowers the car 4'' to help his COG (center of graverty) as this combined with the IFS (independent front end) makes for a very stable car at high speeds.
You are very neat with the mig nice welds.
You have my vote for TT(tuff Truck)
