]Fitted up the SS M16's during the week.
First impression, they look a lot chunkier than the pics do justice, id say more chunky than the "average" MT such as a BF or MTZ. They seem heavier than the claws, and the sidewalls are THICK. Id say around 20mm thick, they are rated to carry 4200lb per tyre, thats a fair bit??
Have only really driven them on bitumen so far (bout 20k), they definatly ride firmer than the claws and am only running 26psi due to the fact these will spend 95% of their life on gravel whilst im up here. At 26psi there is no bagging, they look and feel like they have 40psi in them.
I dont care about noise, as as far as im concerned, an agressive tyre should be noisy, thats the price we pay! I wouldnt class these as noisy at all.. but we will see in 5000k how they sound then...
they are fitted to my 16x10 external locked wheels, and so far i have not balanced them, and they do shake, but to be honest, if i wasnt a picky bugger i would probably not bother for cruising round up here at the cape.
They do "look" a bit narrower that the claws, but side wall to side wall is the same width as the claws, but there probably is about 1" less in tread width on the road.
Sorrry bout the wank flex pic. but its the only decent pic i have of the tyres on the car.
