Disc brake conversion kit brackets bolts etc $300, S/hand hilux caliper's and wheel studs ~$250, new Hilux solid disc rotor's ~$150 and Marks 4WD transfer handbrake kit $??????

i know you said before in a different thread, what was the requirement for fitting cruiser vented brakes on the rear? i dont want hilux ones. do you make a kit for these?

Its the same kit if you run cruiser vented disc's the thing is that the disc is wider to the out side by 8mm compared to hilux solid rotors and you can have clearance problems with the caliper hitting the wheel. I know they will clear on the front but the rear hub flange is thinner and that puts the disc closer to the wheel mounting flange. If i had the choice of solid rotor's on the back of my 80 i would be heaps happier as the vents always get clogged full of mud so they may aswell not be there.

So can anybody tell me if there is a way, and how to do it if there is, to make 60 series diffs (studs to studs) wider by a considerable amount by adding different brakes off various models.

I want to do this for the front and the back, by an equal (or bloody close enough) distance between the two.

What parts are needed for the front, and what parts are needed to do the back.

its not the brakes.

its the actual hub.

80 series for the rear. (30mm wider each side)

Independent Front hubs off a IFS hilux. (30mm wider each side)

with the fronts you use your original discs. but you have to buy a spacer kit that goes between the disc and the hub (spacing the disc back into its original position)

Okay, I think I got it now.

To widen the rear diff I need 80 Series Rear Diff Hubs?
And to widen the front diff I need IFS Hilux Front Hubs?

BUT - I currently have drums on the rear, will this work with fitting standard 60 Series discs onto the 80 Series rear hubs, or do I use 80 Series rear discs with the 80 series rear hubs?

from what i understand either will go on

it just depends on the bracket you get

since the 60 series (vented rotors) are thicker, they may hit the wheel (might need 16's)

My kits will fit with either hubs (60 or 80) on a 60 housing with either set up you just re-arrange the brackets and they fit up.

Ive got 4 80 rear hubs with the big stud conversion (genuine Toyota studs and dowels) allready done for $100 each will mod your axles for $50 if you by the hubs.

What about the people in Brisbane, We pay for hubs and you come up here with them and install them for $50 bucks - Thats even better...

The magic word FREIGHTand the $50 is to modify your rear axles to take the bigger stud collets and dowels.
