Just to throw a spanner in the works, I think you'd have no problem running 255x85's on a Disco with a 2" lift and no body lift. Have you thought about getting a set of these.

I think they're made in your kneck of the woods but I'm not too sure by who... They'll let you fit 35" tyres with only a 2" lift. Apparently, though, they are a PITA to fit (I know a guy who fitted them to his Rangie) but they look pretty smart.

On gearing, change the high ratio when you get your rock crawler gearset? 1.44 (ie the defender ratio) should be spot on.

Yeah, I think they are made by a company in Melbourne.

Whilst I enjoy nothing more than chopping cars up, it was just the rear wheel arch and door seals I was worried about cutting into.

Did the flares thingy myslef on the truck...fronts took 15 minutes each and the 1st rear door took 2 hours :roll: ...was real scared for the window thingies to get wipped...the second door took 30 minutes, so its an afternoon job :armsup:

That, + OMEs, + 2" Body lift will let you enter the 36" world my friends!
