G'day all.
Malza, for the past six years my 1984 NT LWB has been running 7x15 alloys wearing 235/75 Pirelli Scorpion ATs, with stock suspension (no lift at all) and I have never had a tyre scrub against the chassis or body.
T/case is stock, engine is stock 1.3 apart from a modified air intake and extractors, it has never had a problem turning the tyres. I run them at 26psi front/20psi rear on the road and air down to 10psi for sand, which is the only offroading that I do apart from the occasional desert track, and they work beautifully.
This is my second set of Pirelli Scorpion ATs, the first set ran on 8x15 F100 Sunraysia rims and they certainly scrubbed against the chassis on full lock! However, no problem with the 7x15 rims. Pirellis remain my top choice for bitumen and sand, they are a tad expensive but handle great on the road and wear well. The sidewalls seem to be a little bit stiffer than most, which might help explain that I have never had a tyre slip off the bead at low pressure (but I would never run them on the road like that!)
Go for 235/75 ATs, of whatever brand you prefer, and you should not have to get involved with cutting body panels, raising the suspension etc.

i got 235/75 sumitomos muds on f100. ratio isn't to bad but 5th sucks and 1st low makes for a ruff ride on rocks. i have standard old man emu springs with the shocks suited to the 2" lift and no sway bar and in the front and i had to cut the orignal plate that holds the plastic bumper and bash the seam that sticks down cause i ended up with a few cuts on the edge of the tyre.(sumitomos arent good in the sand (unless u have like 10 to 15psi in them) but seem to go better than good year mtr in the mud)
I had just 2" lifted springs in mine(Prob a bit sagged) and with the 30's it rubbed a little bit!
With the inch extended shackles theres no mure rubbing!
BUT depends what you drive i know i need reduction gearing with the 30's and as i'm going 31's next month i will definatly need them!

Hi all. Just thought i'd post a quick note up. I fitted some Sumo branded 30x7R15's ( http://www.sumotire.com/ltt.htm - these guys have quite a few "skinnier" tyres - and they're cheap too!) on some of the older sunraiser type Suzuki wheels (15x5.5 i think) on the weekend and took them for a quick run. The only problems i had were the front tyres JUST touching up on the corner piece of the front bumper. They also came fairly close to the seams on the inner-rear of the front guard - but no touching. I think after i've removed another leaf out of the rear packs (and had both diffs welded), she'll be fine.
