I've chatted with Dave Ashcroft on this and he says all R380s used in Defender diesels (300TDI and TD5) use the same gear ratios. I was planning on begging him to go and count. I might if we can not find it any other way. I already got counts for the military LT77 and had not wanted to push his generosity.

LT95 ratios, etc.. are all on my page.

Have a look and see if anything strange stands out. Looks like the R380 Defender ratios stayed the same as the LT77S.

I have never installed a tacho, but on 235/85's the truck hits the governor in 4th at 140km/h (I think the redline on the LR version of the 4BD1 is 3300???).

I get 1450rpm at 100kph with 33x12.5x15
