IFS stands for independent front suspension. The guys on here talk about ifs rears they pretty much mean the rear leaf spring packs of the hilux which came with independent front suspension. They are longer. I'm not a tech head but to clarify for the other guys I'm gonna try to explain what I think your saying is wrong with your current setup. I think what your saying is that your rear shackles are angled forward not back at regular ride height. As in
[front] "spring here" / [Rear]. Which would explain no droop and might be from the arch in the 4 inch spring lift. And you think by moving your shackle mount forward your shackle angle will be [Front] "spring here" \ [Rear] thus allowing the shackle forward movement under droop. Moving the shackle mount would have been fixing the part that aint broke ;). But since you've already decided to go ifs this is no longer important but thought it might explain to the other guys better.

Exactly the same setup ;)

And the difference in length between std raised leaves(with 2" ext shackles) and the ifs rear springs (far one) with 200mm eye to eye shackles..

High n mighty is that setup on your rig?
Cause mien has raised springs and my 31 inch prielli scorpions came to where my bump stop is welded to the chasis so fromt he looks of this pic it is around the same height.
And yes ifs will definetly be going in with the 200mm eye to eye shackles.
How have u changed your brake adjuster to suit the lift?

They are 33's and you will see the bracket on the proportioning valve mount that I made up. I'm not sure of what lift it had but it has lost about 1" with these springs. I think it was 2" springs before plus the 2" extended shackles that it did have on.

thanks dude mine had 4 inch list in reset springs btu since i removed 2 load carryiing and a standard oen they have lost a bit of height so this might actually ad an inch or 2 to the height.
Do have any problems with axle wrap?
What kind of shock setup are u using?

Mines a project atm and isn't regoed, it hasn't been driven for a while now. In fact I only put the first spring in last weekend and havent braced the second shackle yet....

Diesel028 of the board has been runnin the exact same setup without a ladder bar for a couple of months now with no complaints.

If you were to lighten the pack up from std you would definately need to run one but you can see the difference between the two seperate packs in those pics.....
I think I will stick with the std pack for a while (when rego'd) cause it flex heaps better than oe..

thats what i thoguht cause if u use the standard pack it shoudlnt really get more axle wrap then the car it came off.
i will be leavign the packs standard as i cant fit a ladder bar in because of a 140 litre fuel tank fitted there is no room. do u have your tailshaft lengthened or have a spacer fitted

I don't think a spacer of extensive will be needed in the back because the shaft is centralized and it doesn't move the axle by far...

I have 3" lifted springs from std all round and was wondering how much these std height IFS rears will lift the rear with 200mm centre to centre shackles?

Will i need to pack either front or rear spring mounts to match them up if i put IFS rears in with the 200mm shackles in??

any advbice? ;)

The swap is pretty straight forward except the bushes and the shackles.

The car will sit closer to std height with them in ;)

might have to get the tape out ;) but with the parabolics still in the front the rear sits about an inch lower and the parabolics in the front are around 3.5" - 4" lift (or were....)
