I read on another forum that to quieten the noise one can use a litre of custard to effectively dampen and lubricate the balls... (HANGON I MAY HAVE MY FORUMS MIXED UP!)

It does look like most of the guys run the water in the front tyres for the really steep type of obstacles. Stops them falling over backwards as much. I think that the biggest downside to the water is that the extra unsprung weight will cause you to break more stuff and on wheel sized obstacles (like steps and small ledges etc) its going to be harder to control a much heaver tyre.

Noise, every time you pull up at a set of lights, you would have to yell "four" :D :D :D  :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

yell out "FORE" (for the correct spelling) or ONALL4 to get somebody else into trouble!! :finger:

mouseballs.
heavy, small, rubber coated. better resolution than golf balls and bricks.
constant dynamic balancing has been used in the trucking industry for a long time and has definite merits, especially for offroad use where you rip conventional weights off and spin tyres on rims etc.
"equal" is a powdered plastic product placed in tires for balancing
search on pirate for more info on equal or mouseballs.
