of course its engineered cough cough look the other way nothing to see hear.
Also seen and driven in a flatty with Oldsmobile 550. A flatty with a 454. A valiant VG coupe with a 440 and the most fun one was Dan Mckeags TJ from Top Truck a few years ago had a Dodge Viper V10 and voice activated stereo system. It was awesome when he fired it up the thing just shook and growled like you wouldn't believe. Then the whole knight rider thing.
Stereo on.....Viper louder....Viper change track mmmmmmmmmoney

by EFI Bundera
I have a Bundera with a modded EFI 304 ( VN Commo 5lt v8 ) backed by a tricked up TH700R4 4 speed auto, running the standard cruiser split transfer case and Bundera ( aka Hilux ) diffs with 4.1:1 gears.
Fair bit of work to do properly including upgrades to fuel lines / wiring / brakes / suspension.
Still have to make a custom consol for it yet!!

300ci 6-cyl Canadian Ford on gas into my 45 series Cruiser ute. Motor out of an 8-tonne 'D' series Ford truck.
Pros: Cheap motor - $700
Cheap conversion kit - $370 (Cleveland 351 to Toyota Dyna)
Adapts straight to standard running gear
Use 3 of the 4 original Cruiser engine mounts
Sh!tloads of grunt!
Can get 40hp just by dropping a 240ci head on
Cons: Not as quick as a V8 off the mark.
Hard to keep cool. Needed twin thermos off an AU Falcon.

I had this years ago but with the Tojo 4 speed. Wish it had the T400 or T700. Sounded great, looked great esp' with the roof and doors off, drove like a wet turd.
Had a Chev 350 and T400 in a two door Rangie. Man that was a great rig.
Suzuki seirra with a Swift 1300 efi motor in it. Couldn't beleive the power!!

1980 hilux with a 22re (just a fuel injected version of the 22R)
Easy conversion, just move the stearing coloum a little bit to fit past the manifold, wire in the computer and make and enigne mount that don't break quite as easily as the standard 18r ones... Just used the standard hilux transfer case and 4 speed gear box and the old girl was good enought to sit on 100clicks on the highway all day, use about 12L per hundred, and still have enought bottom end to crawl on a set of 37's... Excellent conversion for anyone wanting more poke out of a hilux but dont wanna go the usual commy v6 path...
Also very easy to blue plate as it used standard engine mounts, gearbox mounts and just about everything else was standard on it to...

Got a 1UZ-FE Lexus 4.0L quad cam alloy block V8 to put into my FJ40 with the standard box and transfer
Pros:
- Wanted an injected engine so I could climb cliffs
- Cheap as buying a holden V8 or falcon 6 (got a '97 front cut for $1200) but it weighs less with more power - 192kW standard
- 6 bolt mains - 1000hp out of standard bottom end
- CRS and Dellow kit available to bolt it straight in ($1500)
- As far as I can gather it's the best conversion available for the price if you want injected
Cons:
- None that I can think of???????
Mate of mine put a 253 with traumatic into a '72 corrolla in 4 hours with a welder and a mallet - I never saw it but apparently it was f#%king awesome.
Replaced the RB30 in my mates GQ with an RB30 from a VL commodore so he could turn his 38.5's
Pros:
- CHEAP - got a VL commodore for free
- Bolts straight in cos it's the same motor
- Twice the power from the injection and it goes up hills now
- Conversion cost a carton of piss
Cons:
- Sump is at the front on the commodore so it will hit the diff pumpkin if the car isn't lifted considerably - Easy enough to swap with the sump from the original engine
Best thing you can ever do for your 4L petrol GQ!!!!

I put a Rover 3.5L V8 into my 84 dualcab hilux. Best mod I ever did. Standard diffs/transfer/gearbox and I made all the adaptors/mounts myself. I'm definately not a mechanic but my neighbour was and he pointed me in the right direction and had all the tools... Its definately something you have to do once, I had as much enjoyment/fun modifying/fixing it as I did driving it. Used to keep up with V8 100series, and on the beach none of my mates came near me up the dunes!
