I'm learning all these banana benders seem to be quite stiff with their regulations! Kinda goes against the qld coppers i used to know, anyways, Whats the deal with a nsw rego truck driving in the state of qld? do i have anything to worry about? I was planning on a lazy Fraser run in a month or so. The trucks fairly stock (5" spring, 35's) and I'm a little concerned this may draw the wrong attention? Or is it for qld rego'ers only?

Thanks

Hey DBW,
What truck do you have? All this talk of get defected for mods is making me worried about what I want to do. I have a SWB GQ. I want to do a 6 inch spring lift and 2 inch body lift. 33 tyres for every day and 35 or 37 for off road. I was under the impression that anything more than a 2 inch body lift had to be engineered. How did you go with yours? Thanks

The word on the street is you have a jedi like immunity with the yellow and black plate. 35's won't stick out that much with just the 5", but it's the scalies (mobile heavy haulage inspectors) you may have to worry about as they spot you or be unlucky enough to have them follow you on the highway. Rare though, but does happen (as I found out on my last working trip to Townsville)

I wont ask on a public forum if you have all your paperwork in order, so if you do have any photocopies (no matter how, ahem, grey they seem ;) ;) ) bring em up to have something to show them on the 1:100,000,000 chance they catch up with you.

Talk to an engineer BEFORE you start... Then do things his way, and how he wants them done, then there should be no issues with gettin it passed...

Ludacris.

Any pictures of yours yet?

I think I'll need them very soon because my steering wheel shudders big time at about 60 km's per hour. Isn't this caused from flogged out panhard bushes?

Thanks
