Has anyone tried to mod an old air intake to surround their lpg system?

If so what one did they use? I think the air filter is 26cm x 7cm

Is it possible to get an airfilter box off a landcruiser. As these flow heaps of air.
Mount it on the P/S inner guard. Then run some tube to the top of the mixer/carby thing.
It might make it hard to fit dual batteries, but you would be able to get a good aircleaner. Which is pretty cheap to buy and flows pretty well. Also easy to then run a normal type snorkle.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....

I thought of that but I have just put a second battery in also.

If you make a base plate for the mixer, should it go under the air filter or between the mixer and the carbi?

Project K-Mart Stock Pot is complete.

This week I bought a large stock pot from Kmart about 29cm

Cut a hole in the lid to make the air intake base. Cut a hole on the bottom of the pot to match the plate that normally sits on top of the air filter. Then cut the pot hight down to fit together when bolted up.
Cut a 3" hole and attached a Galvanized section of pipe used for guttering and screwed and siliconed it in.
Now Im all ready to attached a 3" pipe to it which will run to the snokel when I get around to that ;) Im thinking 3" stainless pipe for snorkel, although it wont be a shiny as my new stock pot.
Just need to run a beed of silicon around the base plate and Pot to seal it all up or when the filter has been changed.

Pot $20
3" pipe section $3.50
and some silicon

Cheers
Eric
