Too right.... WAY too steep for 33's. Try some of the bigger places like Tempe Tyres, and some of those bigger resellers. Just get your yellow pages one lunch time, and ring 20 or so places. I am CERTAIN you will beat that price

i have had bfg's as well and didnt think alot of them either. i got some pro comp x terrains at the moment and i dont have a bad word about them on or off road. they are a little noisy on the road but they are great in the wet and awesome in mud

Using Hankook 30" muddies. Bought them new as the BFG's I was running were so crap in mud it wasn't funny.
Almost all of the cheaper mud patterns are identical - and the Hankooks were cheapest. They're not great on road but I don't do much on road.....
I'd be on the new silverstone pattern if I could fit 33"s - it's pretty awesome. Otherwise maybe Maxis 32" or Silverstone 117's. I'm not rich enough for MT/R's or Procomps.....
If the top Geolander M/T pattern is in 35 go that - they look bloody awesome.
For 35" there's gonna be limits on pattern and brand - you should be able to get something good though.
A guy I go out mudding with has 32" Mongrels and for the price they're brilliant.

MTR, MTR, MTR (have I said it enough times).
Amazingly good on road (for an agressive tyre) - but make sure you run high pressures.
Absolutely fantastic off road - especially at 10psi

i run baja claws(31x11.5 radials) these are very good for rocks(not wet)
mud, dirt.they tend to dig in on sand when taking off.other than that they are wearing fine slightly noisy on the black stuff.i have simex tubes (32")
so i usually let them down to 3psi without popping the bead, ive found the sidewalls take a beating too.
