How is the ride with the EFS suspension?

EFS and enforcer are made by Carols springs.
EFS is the top stuff, better for flex and comfort and Enforcer is cheaper and better for loads.

If you had a choice then yeah equal flex, but it isn't always practical.

As Muppet said who cares what thhey have, they still don't have equal flex. Equal flex also equals a better ride, which I'm sure we will all agree, the Suzis lack.

Also how does lack of flex equal faster speed, the only thing that will achieve is breaking things. If you have reached a practical limit of flex lockers fix thhat problem not speed

It would be nice if we all could afford lockers.
If you are sitting spinning with the opposite corner wheels off the ground, you don't just keep going over it 10 times hoping next time you will make it. If you want to get to the other side then you have to go a bit faster.

Some people have fun wheeling without lockers, makes it a challenge and you can get a lot of enjoyment out of medium grade tracks. Brings it back a lot to driver skill in choosing the right line.

We can get equal flex in Patrol. Cruiser and Rangie. But this means a worse ride on road. We have to find that magic balance for on and off road ability

If someone can let me know what length shock is best I will see if I can help.

I find the compression lengths the worst. Have you got those as well for
the shocks around 500ext front and 600rear

hi, what are the Pro comp shocks like? i'm looking at getting some shocks for the rear of my zook, about 700mm extended.

do you or does anyone know how they go? ie: like what the valving is like, is it soft and suited to zooks, or is it valved for larger rigs?

most of the shocks i've tried, that are about 600mm - 640mm, are valved pretty hard, and used on big 4bys. and they are usually gas charged, which makes it a bit too stiff for a zook.

i'm after a soft valved shock, that is about 700mm extended. and if you can, can you give the compressed length for the pro comp also.

thanks
Steve

Oztech do a normally valved shock for the Triton at 664mm extended and 407mm compressed and they also do a softer valved shock for the Triton if there is no weight (same dimentions). It is valved for comfort. Softer than all the other shocks on the market for the Triton. (It is gas)

I have edited my previous post to include some of the compressed lengths requested. Also edited to include Triton shocks instead of GQ.

when choosing different shocks my advice is to choose some from another leaf sprung vehicle as coil sprung shocks tend to be valved stiff. check out early patrol, hilux, triton rear or even old ford & holden rears.
I moved my upper mounts inward and run triton shocks. They are nice and soft and are long enough for my rear setup.
