Well looks like you guys are having fine.
Anyway, just stripped the car and repainted it white. The guys at the paint and panel shop steered me towards 2Pac. But after the filler primmer and the 2 coats where added, the job looks pretty lame. But what else can you expect from a $24 spare gun. But it is for the bush and not a show n shine car.
Next is the 2" body lift, 2" springs and the Simex Extreme 35".
What are the best type of blocks to use for the body lift and would 3" lift need any other mods..

2 inch body lift is easy as and everything will still reach....
you need to pay attention to fan shroud, front brake lines and breathers, rear fuel filler, clutch lines cabling and your steering joint.
If u go 3 inch you will need a longer steering joint and a new filler hose and your cooling will be compromsised as the fan is very low to the radiator and this wont have as much effect.
doesnt matter about block types.... I like the alloy ones, but i have used steel ones and polypropylene ones too and no dramas.

Thanks for the info. 2" Blocks are on there way and will go in next weekend. Then the new suspension and then the 35's.

The pain in the ass with body lifts is that your bullbar and bumpers no longer line up properly and you'll need to cut the mounts and reweld some steel in to make up the difference.
This of course if not done properly will reduce the strength that they have - something which is of importance with winch bars and the like, so make sure you do it properly.
Have a look at heathx4 and "big red toy" in the member's section.
Both non-spoa rigs, and both setup very nicely, at least in my opinion.
BGT runs 36's with just 2" susp and 3" body lift from memory, and you could get away with 4" (legal in QLD) if you trimmed your wheel arches a bit to clear the tyres.
I don't think you need to run SPOA to have a capable off roader, a lot of people get carried away with mods.
5 years ago 35's were reserved for the hardcores, and 33's were considered pretty tough - people are getting carried away with who has the biggest tyres.
Anyway, see how you go with the body lift - I am doing the same to mine once my paint dries.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I read Heath's buildup. The body lift goes in next weekend.
So yeah, lifted and running sweet is all I am doing.
Simo, if you are out there send me an email about the rear windows and the rear tailgate mech.
