Sorry to dissapoint you but I know that you are wrong. Petes is registered and fully engineered as a landcruiser, all the rumours of it being regoed as a tractor or heavy machine are BS. It is even engineered with the rear steer as long as it is locked for on road use.Tiny wrote:I know that Pete Antunac's rig is regisered as heavy machinery with a max 40Km speed limit, I have being led to beleive that Matts is FULLY ROAD REGISTERED, but maybe it is some kind of agricultural rego to?grazza wrote:SOmeone please tell me, how can this car, Matt Pisani's, be road registered? I use about $50-$60/week in my 2.6 petrol Rodeo to do about 600km/week.frp88 wrote:why how much do you pay a month

I am not saying that it is 100% street legal as its not but not many cars that are comp used are, but it is definately regoed and engineered as a cruiser and nothing else.
And yes gonads is too, once again not 100% street legal in that photo but registered none the less.
And why Not ?MARKx4 wrote:I like to find a engineer that wound pass a tubed front end for a street regestered carTAZZ wrote:Sorry to dissapoint you but I know that you are wrong. I looked and couldn't find it under the name OFFROADPERFORMANCEW/HOUSE. Did Pete have a different username at any stage ?twinnie wrote:do a search pete actualy was a member for a while and posted how he regoed it. something to do with 38's and lots of mudgarding.

just for you hekta (best i could find sorry, he has no member's section that i could find.)RUFF wrote:You mean its not registered as a Tractoronall4 wrote:How about I answer that one.
*Take the 44" tyres off it, put on 38.5" Tyres
*Take the wide offset wheels off it, Put on regular offset.
*Put the flares & Mud Flaps Back on it.
*Lock-out the rear steer for on road use.
*discussions with the engineer over a period of 6 months while building it to ensure all will be sweet.
*Hydraulic steering has speed limited my truck to 90Km/h ( so what, ha)
*Pay your rego & insurance & your set.
Don't forget people, The way you see most vehicles at competitions are in an illegal way shape or form, But competitions allow these changes.
For example, rego'd with 36" tyres, But runs 38" in the event. or even 44". This is allowed.
Wheel spacers are used very often, But are so illegal, it's funny.
Hope that answers your quetsions.
Pete
haha no worries. I think I'd read it before, but didn't know it was posted under a different username.twinnie wrote:thats the one wicked, hecta i would have given you a link to it but i couldn't find it either

Where do I sign?V8Patrol wrote:A few of us are currently looking at forming an association for variety "bash cars"..... with a legit association we can rego the cars under a "club rego" and rego is far cheaper too I might add and as for RWC condition all one needs is letter from the Secretary stating that the car is in deed "safe for road use"......... this is how many hotrods get away with their rego even tho there's an uncovered thumpin big block grumpin away behind the radiator and the front wheels have no guards at all.
Form an "Offroad Competition Vehicle Association" and the world would be at your feet when it comes to what mods would be legal and useable on road...... just about anything goes ...... trust me !
as soon as 4wds got involved with that loophole, it would close faster than a womans legs on wedding day.V8Patrol wrote:A few of us are currently looking at forming an association for variety "bash cars"..... with a legit association we can rego the cars under a "club rego" and rego is far cheaper too I might add and as for RWC condition all one needs is letter from the Secretary stating that the car is in deed "safe for road use"......... this is how many hotrods get away with their rego even tho there's an uncovered thumpin big block grumpin away behind the radiator and the front wheels have no guards at all.

A guy I have met once only has his rig "club registered"....... its basically open slather for mods he wasnt to do to it...... he joked about dropping in a 12litre Merlin engine.... thing is "if he wanted to " he could under the club guidelines.bogged wrote:as soon as 4wds got involved with that loophole, it would close faster than a womans legs on wedding day.
