My P76 Conversion is coming along nicely, just fitted it to Tghomas this arvo. have yet to get to going but the 'hard' work is all done
Here's a pic of the flywheel adaptor I had made. Cost about $300 inc. the spigot I had made to suit the Leyland which is also bigger.

In all honesty I really didn't klnow anyone had them especially for a ZF auto so that's the reason I had this madeRUFF wrote:Toorak Tracktors sell this conversion and im sure its less than $300.Aquarangie wrote:Looking good.

I don't think $300 is not overly expensive considering I got the Rangie 'donor' vehicle for a grand, sold the tyres, rims and the 3.5 and still ended up $100 in front after purchase plus there's still many bits to sell so it's been pretty cheap so far.
Now that I know TTC sell them I'll point people in that direction if they're gioing to do the same thing.

Trav, shouldnt the spigot hole in the adapter be the same as the rover one and then a reducing collar to fit into the 4.4 crank ? Can you post a pic of the new spigot.Aquarangie wrote:Looking good.

Anyone know what can i use as a replacement for the thermostat housing on the 4.4 manifold that will angle towards the inlet of the rangie radiator, and while i'm at it will a rad from a 3.9 rangie/ disco cool a 4.4 effectively ?

When i did my 4.4 i also upgraded my 3.5 radiator to a 3.9 one and also utilised the optional oil cooler available for the 3.9.
So far i have had no dramas, i have never seen it push beyond about 94 degrees working hard.
