Hi Volume Windscreen washer

i was going to suggest a bilge pump also, but a modified one.
when we go wakeboarding, we use Fat Sack, which are just 250L bags that we fill up with river water via a high speed pump which weighs the boat down, giving it a bigger wake. The pump we use can pump up a 250L fatty in about 5 mins.
Good luck with ya choice.

I'm looking for a windscreen washer bottle and pump setup that has a very high volume output.....
AI need to ba able to "squirt" water through just the std windscreen size hose ( no "jets" will be used ) for a distance of around 4 metres in a solid 2-3mm stream.
there must be something out there that can do my job.....
any ideas

I'm pretty sure Karl Vrecko uses a 20L watertank in his!

As you can see form the pics the 929 pump is HUGE in comparision to the std units found on most cars......
Now have another look at the actual hose on the 929 unit and compare that to the itsy bitsy outlet on ths std pump
Happy with my find ??????? I'm excited

Problems were that I'm limited on room for a "water tank" much over 4 lits
and I didnt need to "flood" the windscreen to the extent that mud racers have to.
The chosen pump I now have is ideal form my situation..... compact massive water supply, easilly fitted, and its a unit I can pick up from most wreckers

Id have a pipe run along the botom of the screen with holes in it to allow the speed to push the water up the screen. also leaving the factory squirters connected.

Lots of custom gear as I cant afford the proper stuff.

Factory squirters, switching gear, pump, and water bottle are all staying dead stock standard....built4thrashing wrote:Id have a pipe run along the botom of the screen with holes in it to allow the speed to push the water up the screen. also leaving the factory squirters connected.
The pipe along either the bottom edge or indeed the top of the screen would work ok but my problem is getting water directly infront of the actual wiper blades at all times during the sweeping action.... water fed from the top or bottom of the screen may well channel into a "river" or flow as to where wind action forces it to go..... that may not be where I want it tho ......
The new bottle will fitted and then I plan to run the main line into a tee piece...... from there each line will run up through the front panel adjacent to the actuall wiper arms.... then up along the wiper arm itself and to the middle of each wiper blade..... then I'll fit a Y piece and 2 short sections of hose...... the idea is to dump a large volume of water directly in front of the blade whilst its either moving or stationary across the screen.
Switching for the new additional bottle will be on the Navis side aswell as an additional switch to turn on the wipers aswell ..... (single speed ...IE: flatout )
I'm going to have a gander through the local garden supply joint later today..... looking specifically at tee's, elbows, and Y pieces from drip systems......
fingers crossed
