Although if it was a normal petrol that method may work, turbos are different to a non-turnbo engine in regards to exhaust size...

yea you'd have to do a fair bit of research for a turbo diesel,
read a few reviews to get the right info.

make sure the info you get is backed up with facts etc.
fairly detailed and for turbo engines

This is a good reason why you shouldn't believe everything people tell you. By this rule a 1.5L Turbo diesel (VW golf, etc) should have a 1.3" exhaust. They come with a bigger exhaust than that from the factory!!!
i know that it it doesnt work for all engines due to the turbo exhaust manifold only taking a certain size and i guess that its my fault for thinking we were talking about mainly jap 4wd.
