If I can give you only one tip, it is this,
don't make your drawbar too short
(the distance from the axle to the coupling)
the longer it is the easier it will be to back.

I used a Hilux Styleside tray for mine, along with a 45 series axle, and 60 series front springs.

Gravedig/12 month update
Trailer is finished (for now) and towed it to Robe after xmas.
Tows really nicely and worked well.
Things still to do:
Replace side doors - they look like crap
Get canvas made for camper.
Chop rear of wheel arches for more room (designed it for 31s, fitted 33s
)
Put it on weighbridge to see what it weighs - and send weight ticket to AWilly

I hope the last pic is with the trailer fully loaded, those shackles are way too flat. I made the same mistake and end up getting new main and second leafs made up that were 2" shorter. Why the shockie when you've got the dampener springs already, especially on that angle.

Rear mount will be moved back when I get home and do the guard mod.
Shockies because It all helps.

Any other photos of trailers people have made?
I'm making one and deciding whether or not to add brakes......
It's going to be an off road 7 x 4 box trailer to carry bikes on and then a canvas camper top when out west.
Any photos will be greatly appreciated.
