Cool then that means I don`t have to have it in by then, I thought that the cage was for the 2 top classes.

I still am going to put a full cage in it but not untill $$$$ allow it.

Yeah this SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just when a series seems to be gaining momentum what happens NOTHING!!!!!!

I can not believe that there is not ONE place in all of NSW's to wheel!

I have heard of 2 people from this site put up a property!!!!!!!!! :? :?

Hell i know that it doesn't compare to a winch challenge but everything has to start somewhere!

The amount of rigs being built and the amount of people ready to ROCK is ever increasing, the support from the NSW's guys was unbelievable and the size of the crowds were also pretty damn good for something so NEW!

WHY is this comp NOT ON, not enough money or just not interested!!!!! :?

All i know is he was going to look at property at Tenterfield in NSW to run the next round there.
I know its not as far south as you guys in Syd would like but it is about 10 hours closer on a round trip.

I think this could be the place he is looking at but im only guessing. http://www.roverpark.com/

XRCC Round 3

Post by XTREME MMM »

   Back again, You guys make it sound so easy, regards getting a site to run the event. The big bad word again is insurance. I would love to be able to put on an event at the places that have been listed, but some one has to pay (not the entrants) for this small detail. I am very interested & have the motivation to make sure XRCC works. I could easly run the last round at Mountain Park, but I want to move it to NSW, this will give the NSW guys an event on there ground. It will be interesting to see how many Qld. entrants we get when I do put on a round down there.

Due to other work commitments I was not able to go south to look at venue, I am hoping to get down there mid next week. I will keep you informed on what is going on & when the last Round will be.

Just reading in the latest issue of total Offroad a UK mag and there is a bit of a write up about this. Supposedly it is going to be a 1 week event with entrants from overseas coming. Entry fee's are $1650 for the weeks event. This sounds awfully ambitious is it true or not?

yep. they mention dave, even give his email address and the offer that he would put international competitors up for accommodation. I'll bring the mag into work on Monday and scan the article.

It would be awesome to get some of the US guys over here, however i believe there would only be two (maybe 3) rigs that could maybe handle it against the US Buggies!

It wouldn't be worth while for them to come over, considering the Prize money they are getting and the terrain they have!

We need to get it STARTED here first before we can even think of anything like that, and we don't even seem to be able to do that!!!!

Dave Metcalfe rang me the other day and it went something like this.

Dave - Sam, my computers shiat itself and I carnt post anything.

Sam - Yea, computers give me the shiats too.

Dave - Found a place to run round 3 near Tenterfield at Rover Park

Farkin Awesome!!

So anyway he was wanting to run it late November and i mentioned that everybody will be going to Woodpecker (and our Outerlimits weekend at cruza) so he thought, fine, he will run it in January probably the week before Australia day weekend.

So thats the plan ATM - he hasnt checked the date fully yet so if anybody knows if this will clash with anything the make yourself known.

Insurance has caused him a few dramas but by the sounds of it he is getting it sorted.

So

XRCC round 3 looks like it will be at Rover Park on the 17/18 Jan 2004.

This is great news and hopefully i will get down to Rover Park in the next few weeks to try and drive a few lines. Carnt be giving away any of this home town advantage :finger: A few people have told me that there is heaps and heaps of clean rock down there with lot of nice ledges.

I think Rover Park is a bit over 3 hours south of Brisbane so at least its getting a bit closer the non qld guys.

Better than been on the ROOF!!!!

Which is where you and your Zuki mates will end up if WE get a say in the COURSE layout!!!!!!!

I think as long as we get a good turn out by BOTH countries (hopefully there will be more qlder's this time) than i think the series could still be a goer!!!!!!! :) :) :)
