Allrighty then.. the wheels are on (Bloody hot work too), the gear is packed, just need to get some more fuel in the morning and i'll be there. Silly question, the park refers to the one on the main drag of the township rite? Just up from the Pub?

Yep, that's the one.
I am going to be running a bit late as I have found a F*cked wheel bearing.
Should have that fixed early in the AM and be there hopefully not too much behind the rest of you.

So how did paj day go? Would have loved to be there.....I had a little experience in a bog hole I found on the side of a road, slid into a rut and came verry verry close to landing on my side. It sceared the bejebers out of me, my missus nd kids were in the car too so I was verry glad she didnt go over!!!
Thatll teach me- I should have been in gemmy

It was a good day but bloody hot and dusty.
I think there were 15 or so vehicles all up.
Poor Darius after being late having to replace a stuffed wheel bearing and a siezed caliper he broke a front hub which left him with only 3 wheel drive for most of the day.
Anyway we did Andersons Creek Tk, played on the boulders then went around to Sunset Tk (some of us played on the boulder section) then we called it a day.
With so many vehicles we were only ever gonna drive 3 or 4 tracks.
Highlight of the day was Corkhead almost rolling on the boulders
Some of the other guys took pics so hopefully some can be posted up.

G'day All,
Yeah it was a top day all in the end. My F8cking hub broke about 25 meters into it so I was relegated to 3wd for the rest of the day, which made it interesting at times!!
Basically we had the following people show:
Bitsamissin (Paj)
PajeroSRV + 3 guests (Patrol, 100 series & 60 series)
Rugrat (Paj)
Corkhead + Friend (Paj & lux)
HG - Surf
Leeham Escort - Surf
Rusty - Prado
Darren - Patrol
Misery - Paj
Heidi - 80 series
It was about 12 cars all up.
And probably some other people who I typically cannot remember.
Anyway first track of the day was Andersons which everyone did no probs.
Whilst that was in action Iheaded up to grab a couple nof other cars. We all finally met up and the intersection of Andersons and black snake creek track, where some cops in a SS came by and had a bit of a sticky beak.
Then headed over to the rocks and had a play. My hub went (bastard!!) so I backed down to try and figure out exactly what had happened. In the meantime a few cars tried various lines on the rocks with varying degrees of momentum
Whilst some where highly suspect everyone got up without any tragedy.
Corkhead has to have the days trophy for the most spectacular wheel lift. Whilst yelling at him to go left he decided to go right & diagonal across a gap in the rocks under the powerlines resulting in the rear left dropping into a big hole and punting the paj to within a degree or two of rolling back down. Made for some shite hot video footage though!
We had lunch up the top of the rocks, after which corkhead and rugrat headed home. We then had a play at a couple of the river crossings in the valley and headed over to sunset.
Again all the cars seemed to make short work of the tracks, which was great to see. After sunset we decided that it was time to start heading home, being the typical 4pm track.
The group then headed out to Jindivick area and onto the princess and home.
Ok. So the easy Paj run was a success.
Was a top day, should do it again, and lets go for a play with some bigger stuff
Cheers
Daryus
PS: Whoever has photos, start posting!

Respect to Daryus for organising the day, it was great fun. I even learnt how to drive in the dry
It was also good to meet some new faces and put them to names. I only took a few pics, sorry about the hosting but it's the best i can do at the moment..

Yep was good fun, not hard at all but still good fun and BLOODY HOT.
Was interesting to see the driving styles of some
and how hard some hit the little creek crossing
resulting in a dead alternator in an 80series & a fanblade through the radiator in a 100 series

If you're going to buy a Gen 3, make it a DiD Auto - once Frank confirms the gears fit.
I think we need a serious wheeler to start pushing their limits.
