Yeah a mate of mine lost his house in the same fire.
Took him 10 years to build it out of sandstone and the best of everything. Now it is just the foundations and he didn't have it very well insured. He is re-building but it will be a much lower standard than last time.
Moral of the story, You can't afford not to have insurance.
