I chopped my 60 in half the other day....it was fun.

The reason why I am chopping my current 60 is because rear quarter damage had become excessive, and i have spent a lot of $$$ on mods that i want to retain.

The reason I dont want to buy a 75 series is simple. Small cabin and my current 60 has lots of nice goodies that I cant be bothered transferring.

If you want to keep up with the project, it can be seen in my members thread!!

G-loomis,

Make sure you get lots of pics of you with the angle grinder showering lots of sparks

Good call on the Bling and "Beacuse I can"

If you remember, I'd really appreciate a close-up pic of the roof/gutter cross section.

Good luck, I'll be watching intently.

I have two memory cards for my digi camera...and I dare say I will be filling both each day and downloading them onto my comp. There will be plenty of pics

Having a ute means I no longer have to worry about rear quarters getting damaged...I know I could get them cut, or maybe even bob the vehicle. But the ute looks better to me.

As for why I am doing this instead of just buying a 75 series...because of the mods already done, and the fact I would have more space in the back than a 75 series does.

I dont need to carry more than 2 people in this vehicle, so that isnt a concern to me. My daughter is old enough to sit in the front when I pick her up from school, and whenever we go anywhere as a family, we take the dual cab hilux.

and there is two more important reasons why I am doing this...

1) the BLING factor

and

2) BECAUSE I CAN

P.S The chop starts on Saturday, so I will start a new thread then, and hopefully upload new pics at the end of each day....Just so you guys know where I am at with it....Once the chop is done and the tray is built, we are off to Tuff Truck...what a week this is going to be!
You're only starting it this week and want it finished by TT???? Good luck matey, hope you're putting in some long hours... . When I chopped mine, it only took about 1hr to get it in half, but a bloody long time building it back to where I want it to be. Nearly finished though
