only 2 probs i see with that, only does up to 2.9mm wall, and can it do angle notches? or only straight?
I looked at one of these and even tried it out.Not the greatest and i can buy a lot of holesaws for the price of one of those.
To do anything over a light wall pipe you need to put a extension on the handle and swing off the bastard. Then if it gets a regular work out there is the price of getting the blades sharpened.
Give me a holesaw and a grinder anyday, well at least till i can afford a plasma

Mill is a top idea
Little out of the range of a home workshop though
If your handy in the workshop you could knock up one of these
http://vansantent.com/tube_coping_machi ... otcher.htm
Basically a gear reduction drive though a bearing block with a collet on the end
Mounted 90 degrees to this is a dividing head on a xy table with a vice atop
You could probally use an old lathe. Cutter in the cuck and vice and vertical slide on the toolslide, just take small cuts

Speedwerx knotchers are cool. I have 5 people using it all day 6 days a week. I have been using it for 4 years and have only changed the bearings twice.
Use a fine tooth holesaw and we get over 200 knotches EZ.

this is why trefolex was taken off the market... it makes bad stuff to breath when you use it with machiene tools... its only designed for using by hand

Yep - the old trefolex was really bad stuff.
Apparantly you can eat this new stuff no problems - tastes like shait though.

Anyway, back on topic.
What brands and tpi count of holesaws do people use that seem to last a decent while and give a clean, accurate notch?
