he's talking about bigger and fatter boggers
also if his rims are wide offset, the tyre probably swings instead of swivelling when he's turning
this would probably cause fouling issues at the firewall
besides... he's shackle reversed and you're not

This is all true NAM, but i don't plan on going shackle reversal - and i don't plan on removing my headlights...
I just need to measure the distance from the headlight to the firewall, and then measure the current scrub radius of the tyre (to which i can add accordingly for the extra tyre measurements of the Q78) to work out if it will fit...
p.s. hurry up with your car - I'm still expecting that "drive off" you challenged me to months ago with your sierra/range rover/volvo creation

nothing's gonna be happening for a while man. i neither have the money nor the motivation these days. might sell the jt2s.
but your rig is looking tough as ever. hope you keep modding it.

Gerg get the Q78's .. I am willing to see what needs to be done to fit them on my Zuk .. after enuff chopping etc (about 6 months time) then with alot of offroad testing over the summer we will see how they work on a slightly heavier Zuk ( I will break the sidewalls in for you ) Once I am satisfied that they are sufficently broken in I will give them back .. I know .. There is no need to thank me .. its a service to a fellow Zuker .. You can drop the tyres off at my office, or I will pick them up from the next meeting..

I could purchase them and sell them to you less the cost of your swampers.
Or I could just take NAM's JT's before they end up as pot plant holders

This was my plan too - thought it would work out well for all involved.
I was thinking about the ones that Guts has for sale - i think he wants 345 a tyre... but don't rush out and buy them just yet - i've still got some budgeting / measuring to do in order to work out if i'm kidding myself or not.

I would say mine has the eqivalent of 3 1/2" 4" of lift, it is axle over but the springs are dead flat ,no body lift I run the silverstone mt117s
Equall 35x10.5, I use a 35mm spacer in the front bump stop
7" rims with i think 2" backspace, Will check if you want .
Going back to axle under tommorrow and my 32s, like a change now and then
Any of you guys comming up to the Zukana,?
Not a lot of sus travel , but there on there.

You had 35's on when you were Spring Under (axel over)? And now you are going to change to Spring Over and 32's (axel under)? Is that right?
Dare i assume you spent a lot of time resting on those bumpstops to avoid chewing out the body of the car?
Dozoor - how did you fit those 35" tyres?

There LJ 80 tail lights greg, I'll get a pic tomorrow up close for you.
There is no provision for the outer rear door handle i open it from the inside.
Spring over axle with the 35s , and i can run 32s with the standard arrangment of spring under the axle. The Flares on the car are raised and rotated slightly There has been a lot of mallet work on the area around the front floor where throttle ect is, all ridges of the outer gaurd and inner gaurd panel has been flattened, plus the usaul front out riggers removed ect, The car only had 15,000ks when we done it, didn't want to go to bezerk on the panels , BUT Now
I rekon we could fit 35 on the thing at standard hieght if we went tube front , I like it in both setups for different reasons, spo 35s you can just drive straight up to a step, and you dont worry about clearance , 32s and standard springs you need to drive more uknow, But you can go the bigger angles, down hills ect, so much more stable

Thats a new 35" MTR , next to a sad mt117 280x85x16
You can see on the bottom pic that the bottom section of the panels have been punched back to be in line with the body mount outrigger,
