Probably look better, and a lot less illegal, if the spotties were on each side of the centre piece and not on top of the bar, blocking his view

Settle down mate. I agree with mudmav, that thing looks SHITHOUSE .

We all know Cheezy is excellent at what he does but I must say, that bar looks pretty ordinary :?. I think the extra bar work he's put on it protrudes too high & comes out too wide. Checkout Andrews bar from On Track 4X4 . I think it looks a lot neater & I'm sure cheezy doesn't mind a little criticism :D.

Opinions are like arseholes....everyone's got one ;)Image

thanks guys i am not saying that cheezy doesn't make good stuff ive watched comp guys run into tree stumps at 40ks an hour and bend everything but cheezy's bar, but i was just making a point that the thing LOOKS SHITHOUSE, if you want protection for your grill and lights and you can handle having something that looks like that then good for you, you will prob never smash a light or a grill, but i couldnt live with that hanging off the front of my rig. cassers bar on the other hand serves the same purpose and i no they are strong as a mother F*&ker, And allthough i still prefer his bar without the light and grill protection, i could live with it if i cared about the extra protection, but like i said if your happy with your cheezy bar then im chuffed for you.

i,ve seen the cheezy bar up close , it looks a lil' bit funky , but he is working from the original design , & trying to keep it legal !!!
the pic of the 1 with the lights on top , they are actually in the aerial mount locations !!!

as for OnTracks bar , legally , you cannot see the parker or indicator from the front of the vechile !!! :?

So.......... being pretty or legal ??? which way do you go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

this legal smegal crap, i think if we were all realistic, we would understand that if we got a copper or a vicroads officer that new anythign about 4wds or the adr's that 99% of us would not pass a roadworthy or be legal. And yes im ready to get flamed.

I agree about not passing a roady, but the less attention you get as the cop drives past, the better.

The Cheezy bar wouldn't be legal either with those recovery points hang'n out the front of it :?.

Also, I think there's a law that states a bullbar must meet ASNZ standards & therefor would have to be a registered product or some crap like that ....if you know what I mean :?

As for the statement of not drawing a coppers attention as he drives bye, I'd think that cheezy thing hang'n off the front of your rig would draw more attention than the hot pink duco

I had a roadworthy a couple of months ago, then took my rig to Vic roads, the guy looked over it and said "looks good mate no probs" ;)

gu bug on traks bar. its outer hoops r out around as far as my bar by the looks of it its neally the same apart from some sharper bends on the top corner. The center and the center hoop look the same and my opinion would b there bar has to much bar work on it but im not gona go callen it a god dam ugly lookn peice of steel!

What ever the difference is, it still looks better than the Cheezy bar & that extra bar work is for extra strength/bracing & if you think it's ugly, go ahead & say so :?.

Don't be scared to say your piece, I've said mine !!!

settle down guys.
the cheezy product on the white car only looks a bit odd because it is out of context. the car is sitting very low and the tyres are too small to make the barwork look in proportion.

everyone wet themselves when they saw it on the black truck, then bagged it out when they saw it on the white truck. it's the same piece of steel!

nah i still dont like it on the black truck either. Sometimes this forum makes me piss my pants. What i mean cant a few grown men state their opinion without it turning into a womens meeting afterwards. On a brighter note that picture of virgil is a pisser. Can comeone post it directly below the cheezy bar pic from the white patrol, now that would be funny

This place is too funny sometimes, great to see so much passion about Cheezy's products, even if half of it is just bitchy shite, but people are entitled to their opinions and this is a "forum" remember.

For the record I actually like this style of bar, i wasn't bagging the actual product when I mentioned Virgil, just the way it looked on that white thing, I was sussing out one similar out on Kris Richters truck at the Pirahna Pursuit and it looked cool on a bigger truck and I would run one for sure.

I don't know Cheezy myself but judging by what I've seen of him, he himself probably thinks this thread is pretty funny, good publicity for his product anyway, most people off here will certainly know or remember the product after all the back and forth about it.

Stay  mudmav ;)

I am not a fan of either. I think if the center hoop was abit higher. Then where the top part of the wing pieces come in it would look better.
Out of the 2 I would go the Ontrack version.
But as Moose said there the same centers. Just that Ontrack manufacture the rest abit differently.
Also from what I have seen they both lack abit of strengh in the wing area (campared to ARB). But that may have changed as I havent seen one for awhile.
As for the twinmotors on SHREQ, been there for nearly 12mths. I also think GQhoon and Birdy are running the same setup.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....

Well if you got your head out of YOUR ARSE , you'd notice that what ever the difference is....it's different & in my opinion looks better than the Cheezy one :finger:.

This thread is getting old & boring, let's argue about something else
