On the FUBAR question. Looks like mine has the big end problems as well. How long will it run like that and what can happen when it dies?

Left and right mounts are different on the block, by a small amount, it may be you got wrong bits? Or wrong sides.
There is often a choice of holes in the chassis part where the mounts bolt on.
You may need the mounts off side of coily block?
A coily chassis would be different, but not the block, so maybe you need more coily bits, especially the brackets that bolt to chassis?

15 - 20 mm out is not a lot really, chassis' do twist and bend, so do motors, thats why rubber mounts.

You didn't put the motor in upside down did ya :D

If ya get totally bamboozled, I can come have a look see.

Also possible it came out of a 1.0 litre sierra, meaning mounts are very different?
Easy to fix that, tho, same as I did to fit a 1.3 to a 1.0

Cheers Fellas,
Not quite there yet....so close yet so far as they say!!! Ive tried a few different things....made sure its up the right way(!!!) but still a bit close to the tunnel for mine! you may get a call yet chris!
Im shattered the exhaust that came with it needs some adjusting too!!! Its beautiful, except the muffler sits about 5mm away from the coil! Doh, I dont see it being a big job to move this forawrd slightly though. The rest of the system sits nicely at or above the chassis line
Time is running out!!!! (read: missus is gettin annoyed at me dissapering with her car - zooks at the inlaws!!!)
Thanks again!

yeah for the accelerator cable i used a bike gear cable ($10). came with one end crimped. then i also bought this little gadget called a Knarps cable end made by odysseybmx ($8.00 for 2) and used that to set the custom length. cheap easy and adjustable.

hope that helps./
