Without a doubt this will be steering orientated rather than the tyres themselves and more likely caster than toe.
Remember all the suspension mods that you have made will have affected caster and the hilux wasn't originally designed with bias tyres in mind. Take it to a truck aligners to get the current specs however your only option for a SAS lux may well be caster wedges (yuck!)
It's not my car that is have the troubles we are speaking of. Yes i did have some issues but at the time i was running 2" wheel spacers on flip centered rims.
I would say Drop Bear's caster is out then

Why didn't it show up when he was running the Pedes? They are balanced but they are far from perfect.

From reading the thread, I'd say caster is the underlying problem, but rim offset is affecting the magnitude of the problem. I'd guess the difference between the 'pedes and the Swampers is the offset of the rim, and where it places the centreline of the tyre with respect to the steering axis - i.e. the scrub radius. The larger the scrub radius, the worse the caster effect.
Or not.

Yep. Standard toyota offset on the pedes

thats funny from looking at other forums as well as this one
most people who run Swampers must have incorrect caster set up
as this wobble is extremely common, but only with Swampers

My little swampers (32x11.5 tsl/sx's) have the wobble too. Checked my caster a while ago, and its just slightly more than factory spec for a shorty zook. Running the swampers on 15x8 speedy rims with -28 backspacing.
Layto....
Edit - Does not have any strange vibes with my road 31 mtr's on from 0 to 130KM/h. Same setup, just change in tyres. Similar offset too, -25 on the MTR rims

In my case it definately wasnt caster.
The caster was set up correctly when we did the 5 link and when i did get it wheel aligned by Proaxle (truck & 4wd alignment mob) they said it was perfect.
It definately was only toe causing the prob, not dampners as where brand new, not worn bushes as again where brand new and not caster as it was set to factory specs.
Once the toe in/out was adjusted (1st by us with a tape measure & then finished by proaxle) the cruiser drove perfectly with only very slight wander, anyone or anyone's mum even could have jumped in and driven it and i wouldnt have been concerned.
I think that because in most cases swampers are wider than other tyres (inc simex) and often on wider or bigger offset rims the scrub radious is out and with the combination of this and fact that the inner and outer lugs are so large if something is slightly out it is greatly exagerated.
But hey I aint no expert and this is just my experience and thoughts.....

i recon this is the prob, ill have to straighten out the tie rod and get a wheel alignment. Im planning on swapping diffs soon anyway so i dont think ill bother trying to fix it with my current set up.

Yep. Standard toyota offset on the pedes
Same on the front swampers
