cutting the back off a patrol
Can anyone tell me what sort of weight loss there is going from a full body LWB to a single cab and the double cab inc the tray?
I like the green extra cab,be good to have that extra dry space for gear, you could make up holding nets of some sort for cloths/etc keep them out of the water(I'm thinking the water would have to be pretty deep throught)
Cheers Shane

I wasn't suggesting put a bubbled back wall onto an extra cab. I think it would look silly I was purely pointing out that the walls are the same just with a half and full bubble on the GQ's

weight lose
i chopped mine into an extracab, it took three of us to lift it into the truck but im sure the tray or whatever you add on will be of smilar weight i would think. Ive got a tube tray getting made up and by the time its done with roll bars and crap, its going to be as heavy i would think
thats a good price assuming that it comes ready to mount a rear window into, no just as shown in first pic.not not wrote:Yep bout $560 last i herd bout 2 months ago

For anyone who is interested I got a price on a new roof for my patrol and they are about $650 trade. That price is for short wheel base and long wheel based GQ patrols. The rear panel off an early model GQ coil cab is around $600 trade also.
These prices are genine Nissan.
I got a price for a second hand roof from the wreckers and they wanted $750.
So I think i'll buy new panels.
Cheers Mick.
