Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Thinking about one of these $500 lokka's for my Gu Ute as I will probably sell the vehicle in 12mths time. If there was a means of operating the hub from in the cab it would solve alot of the issues people have been talking about with these lockers. It would be good to hear from more people who have had these cheaper lockers to hear there opinion. Al.

I have got a cheapo lokka in the front (from 4wd systems) and factory lsd in the back, I have had no problems with this set up as yet.

I have driven with set up thru the vic high country and down border track on vic and sa border and had no problems. This set up also has had a regular trips to bunyip state forest and occassional trips to toolangi area.

But that said if I had the money and a vehicle worthy of it I would purchase front and rear air lockers, but until such time the budget option is a good one.

The website is WWWrocky-road.com. The website does the lot. works out the postage cost, insurance and converts it to AUS. currency and organizes the postage to your door. To easy. I did notice someone on this forum had at one stage ordered something from o'seas and had dramas. With this order I was provided with a tracking no. and all I do is go on the web and I can check on the delivery status. Worth a try and see how I go. I will let everybody know how it went.

To the people who hate auto lockers, one only has to look at the amount of vehicles in comps and in general that are running detroits state side

My first rear lokka took 4 weeks to arrive in wa and faild in two weeks, and yes i set it up meticulously. The dog teeth rounded off on one side, i got a new one under warranty, which was of slightly different design (had dog teeth full circumfrence rather than havine milled out sections (guessing for oil circulation)) and has lasted over a year with 35" mddies in mq patrol. yes it gives axle snapping sounds occasionaly but still yet to break this one, and with leaf springs axle tramp is terrible after fitting a locked doff. My opinion is that air lokkas are obviously better in every way but for the cost of the cheepie auto lokkas may as well chuck one in the rear if not doing much street driving and save up for the air lokka for the front. Oh and noticable amount of tyre wear when running an auto lokka in rear on road.

The lokka is the inferior version of a detroit or lockright
