Interest noted, but would be more keen on 11mm or 12mm i think. Later on would also like to know manufacturer etc to make a final decision.

Hi, I have a vested interest but happy to help. You DO get what you pay for!
The trouble with rope off the roll is it doesn't handle drum heat all that well, and it still needs to be fitted off.
The best around that meets all the criteria, is Superline and Superline XD from Master-Pull in the US. Here is a comparison of the main names.
http://www.wildernesswinches.com.au/compare.htm
7/16 comes in at 40,000lb. Competition calls for a minimum of 10mm (3/8).
It's a big investment so it is worth doing your homework.
Cheers

When I spoke to Chris last week, the rope he bought had been in the country for some time, but customs and quarantine are stuffing him around. They say 6 or 8 days, but then when he enquires again they say 6 or 8 days and on it goes

The trouble with you and your "vested interest" is that you don't know our application. You are telling me that this rope off the roll will not handle the drum heat in my high mount winch? I think it will given there is almost no heat. You will find that most people buying rope here ARE NOT buying it to put on a cheap chinese made low mount winches, similar to that which you are selling on your website.
Please stop spamming your website in almost all of your posts. 4 posts and 3 of them include a link to your website.
We are buying this rope because we know and trust Chris to not sell us crap.
Now please keep this thread on topic which is about buying rope from Chris (when customs stops f***** him around)

I'd be interested in postage cost too..
As said before, most interest is from melb, maybe arrange a roll from Chris just for Melbourne.

i havn't worked anything out, and i have nothing to do with this rope (apart from being on the list to get some of it), i'm just being vocal about stupid comments.
we'll work something out when the time comes, till then, leave it be, chris will let us know.
