made a drawer system for my GQ about a year ago, best thing I have ever done to it . has been on one major trip and lots of weekendsrs, worth its weight in gold.
I used ply for the drawers and box section. used steel box section on the sides of drawers to allow roller bearings to be used to make it slide easy. have a look at the pics in the attached link (couldn't work out how to popst pics here) if you need any measurements ect yell out.
Aprox cost was $500 in materials all up, well worth looking on ebay as there are some bargains to be found

Sorry for the hijack! but!
Oxy3gn! where did you get the keyed latches??
As I have just installed a single draw besides my fridge box and still have
fit a latch!
I'm having some trouble sourcing what I want to fit

You can get those sorts of latchs from bunnings or any hardware store.

They're a bit pricey though and they can rattle open unless you lock it.
This is why I sourced the spring loaded latches. Strong, fail safe, and can lock open or closed.

Yup, bought em at Bunnings, can't remember the price but it couldn't have been too bad or it would have stuck in the grey matter. As for ratteling open ive never had an issue, been to Fraser islanf and back to melb and numerous trips in the Vic bush and not once have I had an issue.

I got them from a cabinet makers harware supplier in Melbourne. Can't remember the name of them. Might be able to find it.
i personally haven't had a problem with the other latches comming open but some others that I have made drawers for have commented on this. I did abot 5 this way, three of them had them comming open.
I have done about 6 with the spring latches and all has been sweet.
