Though I was just looking at some wheels in the 4WD Monthly, that are specifically designed to take a "retaining ring" which is also available for them. In which case the wheel would not have been modified, but designed from scratch to take the ring, so un-defectable one would hope.
Assuming they are designed for On-road use. Just because they are available doesn't make they legal.

I find it strange that some wheel company can't get compliance for a wheel / beadlock combination.

I think that the issue of legality relates to complying with the Tyre & Rim Association specifications and they do not list or recognise beadlock's. The Tyre & Rim Association is an international association that sets world wide standrds for same.
Maybe we should get a world wide submission on this topic tabled before their technical committee. Who's game?

dosnt matter to much about the rim being legal or not if you run a bias tyre anyways
(unless your truck left the factory with bias tyres of coarse).
But yes those rims look sweet.
Is there an advantage of outer bead locks over internal ones or vice versa?

photo's of rig is comming, bias tyres are legal so long as they meet the australian standards of load and speed ratings. and beadlocks on the outer edge as it is the most common edge for the bead to come off. but you can have bead lock on both edges.
