Logan Challenge this weekend 18/19th October.
Moderator: evanstaniland
Sorry for the directions guys. It was the second school (Juction View). I apologise to anyone who got lost on my directions. Scary thing is, I was a bloody navigator for the weekend!!!!!
POS, you must have the memory of a friggin' cricket bat, boy. You were talking to me at scrutineering, beside Wes' zook.
We had an awesome time. I was in the Logan A team with Lil Menace. We might have finished 2nd outright, but we managed to win 6 of the 12 stages. We won all of the hard driving stages bar one, which we placed second on. I think it was a case of, 'Duh, we not very bright, but we can drive over big rocks and stuff gooder than anyone else'. We even won a non-driving stage. We had to weld a hook to a piece of flat steel (both about 3" long) and it had to hold a 20lt drum of water for 30 seconds suspended from a tree. The twist was, we could only use a welding electrode, and a set of jumper leads. We were quickest by about 4 minutes on this one apparently. We did it in 3mins 05secs. All I can say is, it was great having a car that runs on a 24V system in our team. It was a good event, and I can't wait for next year. There'll be no second place for Logan A (aka Team Gimps) next year!!
Final placings were:
1st : Oxenford Racing (Gold Coast 4WD Club)
2nd : Logan A
3rd : Dirt Track Cowboys (Bayside Club mostly)
4th : Moreton Districts Off-Road Club
5th : Rockcrawling QLD
6th : One Stop Suzi Shop
7th : Team Buft
8th : Logan B
9th : Suzuki Club of QLD
10th : North Bisbane Suzuki Club
11th : Team Gunna
12th : QLD 4X4 Club (did not start event)

crossmember, shock, clutch, drive shaft
Crossmember- Should have been next on the list for replacment with a low profile x-member anyway!!!
Clutch- The way Scott drives i think it also was due for a replacment!
Driveshaft- The dust cover was loosened and if its bent then its a good excuss to up grade to a longer slip and a heavier wall tube!!!
I don't know why your laughing BUBS!!!!! Where Scott went YOU would not even look at, he gave it a go and he CONQUERED the track, a few scares but nothing thats to expensive or impossible to fix!!!
SO don't " " at his damage, it was a awesome drive and one he should be proud of!!!!!
Well done SCOTT!!! (it was the best DRIVE i saw all weekend, second to Bill Lynn in the gorge)

P.S Do you have a goatie??????
Don't you hate iy when someone just keeps replying to the same thread!!!!
Anyway, on the topic of the actual LOGAN CHALLENGE the BEST drive would have to go to Billy Lynn, He did the gorge run with no lockers, and at one point he was that close to rolling it had even me excited , he put his boot into it and damn well nearly wheel standed it out!!!!
Awesome drive!!!!!!
