My mounts are the generic ones where the upper plate and lower plate link together on one side (upper has a wide t shaped tab that goes through a square tab on the lower) and the rubber sits between them. The seat belt idea wont work very well on these mounts. What i have done is using high impact Polly (industrial cable tape) shim the top side of the upper plate where it goes through the lower plate so there is no room for upwards movement . Meaning that when the motor torques up rather then trying to lift the mount the force is transferred to the other mount in compression.

HOPE YOU CAN UNDER STAND THAT!!!

Can anyone see a problem with this?
Cheers
